English 101/096: College Composition Workshop
This course focuses on the development of composition skills, especially the various stages of the writing process, including prewriting, composing and revising strategies. Special attention is also paid to the growth of critical thinking skills through studying, discussing, and writing about interesting readings from the text.
English 102: Composition II (Argumentation) Composition II is designed to refine expository, argumentative, and research-writing techniques through evaluating claims made by other writers. As a continuation of Composition I, students are taught to both think critically about the arguments of others, and to create better, more measured arguments of their own.
